Roddy and Val invite you to stay on their family run livestock farm where we rear beef, commercial and pedigree sheep. Forda Farm is nestled in its own secluded valley, set back off a quiet country lane.

devon farmhouse B&BOn arrival enjoy a delicious cream tea served in the hub of the farmhouse or out in the garden, if the weather is fine. This provides an excellent chance to find out a little about the farm, meet your hosts and make yourselves at home.
You can either relax and unwind over a delicious home cooked evening meal or visit a local pub or restaurant (the closest being half a mile away).Tea and coffee are always available either in the kitchen or in the lounge with beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace for those cooler evenings.
Feel free to walk the farmland and wander through the 6 acre wood - you might even see a deer! The reward for those who make it to the top of the farm are panoramic views of Dartmoor, Bodmin and Exmoor (weather permitting). The more adventurous of you may with wish to get your hands dirty and help (where and when possible) around the farm. Wellies and Handwashing after are a must.

Meet the Animals
farm B&BDepending on the season, you will see a wide range of farm animals: dogs, cats, sheep, cattle - or maybe you will be lucky enough to see the wild ones: deer, owls, buzzards, foxes, rabbits, hares and many others.

Forda Farm is an ideal place to stay for day trips to all the areas varied range of major attractions.

  • Visit the historic market town of Holsworthy and Bideford, or the towns of Launceston and Okehampton with their medieval castles, all within 20 miles.
  • A visit to Tintagel, birthplace of king Arthur (as the legend goes), with its historical mystery and breathtaking scenery is a must.
  • The R.H.S. gardens of Rosemoor, the cathedral city of Exeter and a variety of National Trust properties are all within 1 hours drive.
  • Visit the beautiful beaches and magnificent cliffs of the North Devon and North Cornwall coasts.
  • Take a trip to Dartmoor.
  • Fishing, swimming and cycling can all be arranged locally.
