Visitors to Widmouth Farm are free to roam our 35 acres of National Heritage coastland where stories abound of brandy smugglers and pirate ships hiding in the bay and caves. The television dramatisation of Enid Blyton's 'Five on a Treasure Island' was filmed on our private beach in 1996.The cottages have been tastefully converted from a round barn (which housed a 'jenny ring'), stone barns and workers cottages c.1800. The English Tourism Council inspects the premises annually and has awarded us 3 Star Quality Grading as we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

On 11 July 08 we will be opening Woodpecker Lodge, our new luxury holiday lodge sleeping 8 people. Woodpecker Lodge will be 4 Star Grading .

At Widmouth Farm you will find wonderful surroundings and superb views. No other house can be seen from the land, except at the highest point. Access is easy with ample free parking and a bus stop only ¼ of a mile away. You will discover tame sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks,, rabbits and guinea pigs on site, as well as an abundance of wildlife (seals may even be seen playing off the coast!) It is an ideal location for walking (as the coast path runs around the property), bird watching, photography and painting. Sea fishing is also available from various points around the headland. |
